Dr. Mahesh Krishnan

Dr. Mahesh Krishnan, MD, MPH, MBA

Dr. Mahesh Krishnan is a proven clinician executive with domestic and international experience in healthcare services, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, reimbursement, and both regulatory and legislative public policy. Currently, he serves as the group vice president for research and development for DaVita as well as being the chair for Kidney Care Partners, the broad renal stakeholder advocacy coalition based in Washington DC.

Dr. Krishnan founded and co-leads the DaVita Venture Group and was DaVita's founding International Chief Medical Officer overseeing thirteen countries. Dr. Krishnan previously led Medical Policy, Nephrology Global Health Economics and Outcomes Research, Epogen Global Development and Epogen Medical Affairs at Amgen. Before that he spent five years in clinical practice where also founded a successful community research organization.

A graduate of Pennsylvania State University's six year accelerated medical program, Dr. Krishnan earned his Doctor of Medicine from Jefferson Medical College and did an Internal Medicine Residency and Chief Residency at Georgetown. He completed a fellowship in Nephrology, a Master of Public Health, and a Master of Business Administration from Johns Hopkins University. He has written three books, including one on pharmaceutical sales training, authored three textbook chapters, and has over seventy peer reviewed publications. He is a sought-after expert for transforming healthcare delivery as well as a TEDx speaker.

Dr. Shamiram Feinglass

Dr. Shamiram R. Feinglass, MD, MPH

Dr. Shamiram R. Feinglass is a seasoned healthcare and medtech executive, independent board director, and public health doctor who has spent her career championing equitable and sustainable access to health care and technology. Since leaving government service at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, she has served as a Managing Director, Chief Medical Officer and a global executive in life sciences companies (Beckman Coulter, Danaher, Manatt Health, Zimmer). Dr. Feinglass began her career in health and technology policy, helping to fund and scale the National Research and Education Network, which became the internet as we know it today.

Having worked across a variety of government and industry health sectors globally, Dr. Feinglass has deep global expertise in regulatory, clinical, reimbursement, and health policy and understands the value of driving partnerships across all those sectors. She was also the trusted medical leader responsible for a global pandemic response plan inclusive of 80,000 associates. Dr. Feinglass served as a Commander with the Commissioned Corps, U.S. Public Health Service, where she was deployed to serve in disaster medical units in hurricane impacted areas and on the 9-11 HHS Health Commission. An early advocate for mental health parity, she worked with The Carter Center to include mental health in federal and state health care reform plans.

A graduate of Smith College, Dr. Feinglass earned her Doctor of Medicine and Master of Public Health from the Emory Schools of Medicine and Public Health. She completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Oregon Health Sciences University, a Preventive Medicine Residency at Emory School of Medicine, and the Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Program at the University of Washington. Named a Healthcare Businesswomen's Association Luminary, Dr. Feinglass is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the Aspen Global Leadership Network & Health Innovators Fellowship, and Associate Professor, Department of Mental Health, Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. A mother of two, she is a BMX state champion and was a member of the USA BMX World Championship Team.
